We’re so thankful that the team here at SoulFlags is leading the Art Literacy Program at Holcomb Elementary School right here in Oregon City. Since 2017 we’ve led an initiative to build community camaraderie, learn about woodworking, and learning about style, composition, and mixed-media artwork.
The students get to take an integral part in a commissioned art project, where their art is shown at the Holcomb Elementary School library each year. Students are encouraged to work together, express themselves through art, and are taught about the importance of working together towards a common goal. This is a really fun project that teaches real-world life skills through a fun and engaging medium- woodworking and art!
