Middle Eastern & North African (MENA) Festival

Pioneer Community Center 615 5th Street, Oregon City

April is Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Heritage Month. It is a time to celebrate the rich history and diverse cultures of this vast region, stretching from Morocco in the West to Afghanistan in the East, from Iran in the North to Sudan in the South. The MENA Fest is a free, community event that will include games, crafts, food and fun around the themes of gratitude and generosity. The festival will be happening on April 14th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Oregon City’s Pioneer Community Center.

Special thanks to Oregon City Arts Commission for helping to fund the event that features a partnership between the Oregon City School District, Oregon City Park District, Oregon City Library, SoulFlags Art Community Center, CCC YMCA, and most importantly, community members who are planning an authentic experience.

We would love to include you in the upcoming celebration! If you are connected to the countries or cultures, stipends are available to pay for your time and materials to share your traditions. Others can contribute financial donations, provide in-kind help with volunteering or supplies and, of course, attend the event.
